Blackburn Rovers have confirmed their decision on Owen Beck after his loan spell at the Championship club.

Beck was one of several Liverpool youngsters who were sent out on loan this season.

After enjoying a successful loan spell at Dundee United last season, the Welsh international, who made his senior Liverpool debut on 27 October 2021, in an EFL Cup game against Preston North End, was sent to Blackburn Rovers in the summer.

While the loan spell certainly didn’t end as Liverpool and Beck would have loved it, the 22-year-old still managed 24 appearances for Rovers in the Championship.

Most of those appearances came in the first half of the season, though, when Beck was a major fixture in the team.

The Liverpool left bac ended up playing just 13 minutes between early Febrary and when the season ended.

With his loan spell now ended, Blackburn Rovers has officially announced that Beck will return to Liverpool.

“Owen Beck, Amario Cozier-Duberry, Dion Sanderson, Cauley Woodrow and Emmanuel Dennis will all return to their parent clubs following their loan spells last season,” a statement on the club’s official website read.

“Rovers would like to place on record its sincere thanks to all the players who will be leaving the club for their contribution and commitment during their time at Ewood Park, and we wish them all well in their future careers.”

It is a shame that Beck’s loan spell at Rovers is ending the way it does.

The Liverpool star’s loan spell started well and was expected to end the way his former loan spell at Dundee, where he was included in SPA Team of The Seasoon, went.

However, he failed to nail down a place in the starting XI towards the end,  bringing the move to Rovers to a bitter end?

Still, Beck would have leanrt a lot from his move to Ewood Park.
